Today I booked a holiday, for which this is the more appropriate badge!  I’m off to the big apple for a holiday with my dad; we cant wait to see the Chrysler building again – the most beautiful skyscraper.  This is a classic logo which works really well on a badge. This size of badge is also my favourite, 38mm, not too big, not too small. Classic.

In 1977 Milton Glaser designed this logo for a marketing campaign commissioned by the New York State Department of Commerce, delivered by Wells Rich Greene advertising agency. The designer only expected the campaign to last a few months, and had no idea it would grow into one of the most recognisable logos of all time. It is trademarked, owned by New York Empire State Development who have filed thousands of objections against imitations and copies.
